Ed Kliman "One man orchestra and sideman-at-large"
I am a lot more than just the most diverse music business resume you'll ever see. A professional work ethic and a stable personality won't show up on paper, but will sure make a difference if I'm on the bandstand for your gig or in the studio with the clock ticking. What else? How about the ability to slip effortlessly into any of the dozens of music styles I have professional experience with? Reggae to rock, folk to funk, country to cumbia, blues to bossa nova and world music of all types are musical languages I speak fluently. I read/write charts or play by ear for all my instruments. Lots of TV/radio, touring, festival and recording experience. I play for the song first, using whatever instrument is required to get the right tone, texture or emotion. Pro-level experience, skills and discography with lead and harmony vocals, steel and nylon string acoustic guitar, resonator, electric and slide guitars, mandolin, electric bass, hand drums and percussion, diatonic/chromatic/bass harmonicas, keyboards, accordion, bamboo flute and other world music instruments. Music writing, arranging and production skills.

Everything I Do Here are a few favorite demo sessions that involved some other players. I'm singing and/or playing harp and guitar:
Lie You can find me working around Austin unless I'm on the road or in the studio. I usually keep a current calendar at my Texas Music Forge page on myspace. Thanks for looking, and laissez les bon temps rouler, y'all... | ||
